At Fior Media, we believe the stories we choose to tell, and how we choose to tell them, are never neutral acts. Production is a practice with consequences: for the screen, for the industry, and for the world the work goes out into. We take that seriously.

That means being intentional about our environmental footprint, our creative partnerships, and the kinds of projects we commit to developing. It means showing up in the industry beyond our own slate. And it means working with people whose values are legible in everything they make.

Marsha Newbery

Marsha's commitment to the industry extends well beyond production. She serves on the National Board of the Canadian Media Producers Association (CMPA) and as a member of the CMPA-BC Branch Council. She is also the founder and Executive Director of Producing for the Planet, an industry coalition of over 115 companies dedicated to catalyzing meaningful climate action across the screen sector. Fior Media is a proud signatory to the Producing for the Planet Climate Action Commitment, a pledge to reduce the environmental footprint of our productions and support a more sustainable industry for everyone working in it.

Carolyn Schmidt

Carolyn's career has been built on a simple conviction: perspective is not a bias to be hidden, but a lens to be declared. Her documentary work has taken honest, committed positions on social justice, mental health, environmental stewardship, and community resilience. Always with the belief that impact-driven storytelling deserves sustained investment, both on screen and off.
